An evening of dance-theatre featuring performances by Brotherhood Dance (NYC), Marlon Lizama (TX) and BAIRA (Detroit). Each of these artists share a gripping theatrical vulnerability, utilizing autobiographical content with creative fiction to tell their stories of the Human experience.

MOVEMENT SANCTUARY

SEPT 18 / 2PM-10PM

A day long movement festival for artists and audiences of all backgrounds, styles and aesthetics to come together in refuge through movement. Sanctuary includes mini dance workshops, guest performances, panel discussions, cyphers and a cash prize all-styles battle. Movement Sanctuary gives a first-hand experience with the conversations of movement and life expressed in 'WE STORIES, bringing us all together to share, watch, learn and grow for a better tomorrow.

The Detroit Movement Sanctuary Weekend is sponsored in part by Motor City Street Academy and the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts.
