In this work Shaina and Bryan continue their auto fiction duet series with a story about the continuous rescuing of one's inner-child while reckoning with the complexities and contradictions of the worlds inside them. It is an homage to the music and stories of Pink Floyd; aligning with the band's rigorous expression of universal truths through the vulnerability of their own experience as artists as human beings. 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' reflects on many of the earliest chapters in Shaina and Bryan's artistic and philosophical partnership and brings audiences through hypnotic patterns of molten partnering and raw human experience.

This work was made possible by generous space support from NYC Tisch Summer Performance Series, The Alliance of resident Theatres/New York, East Village Dance Project and Martha & Chris Tornay. Support for this project also came from Regina Miranda and the Laban Institute of Movement Studies Dance Performance Artillier Award. The remounting of this work in 2018 was made possible through the Artist-in-Residence program at the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance at Wayne State University.
