In this physical dance-theater performance, Becoming Baira, offers a portal into an intimate journey of Shaina and Bryan at the genesis of a lifelong partnership. Through lushly organic and gravity-grappling movement, an abstract narrative unfolds of the duo's mutual questioning of individual and shared memories, histories, and tendencies as they tease out what is inherited and what is developed patterning. Extreme trust and vulnerability bring the two through a highly calculated maze of partnership inside a rigorous world of action and revelation.
